But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8 (ESV)
Wilmont Place is a missional church because we believe that Jesus Christ has the power to change the lives of those who place their faith in Him. We are committed to share the good news of the Gospel both locally and around the world.
Locally, Wilmont Place seeks to make Christ known in our community. Over the last several years, we have provided a full set of school supplies to every student of Hayes Elementary at our annual Back to School Bash. The Sanctuary Choir has made an effort in supporting Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief, an organization that has helped so many Oklahomans after the 2013 tornadoes and others around the world when disaster strikes. Wilmont Place also supports the North American Mission Board through SBC Cooperative Program giving.
Internationally, Wilmont Place seeks to make disciples of all nations. We help financially support our own church member, Jubilee Yocum who serves as a missionary to Mozambique with the MhalaMhala Foundation. The church has led many mission trips to Nicaragua, supporting several local churches and pastors. The Student Ministry annually supports the End It Movement, helping to free those who are enslaved around the world today. We also support the International Mission Board through SBC Cooperative Program giving.
Wilmont Place takes up four offerings annually in support of various missions efforts. Lottie Moon Christmas Offering - International Missions Annie Armstrong Easter Offering - North American Missions Edna McMillan Offering - Oklahoma State Missions Jim Conner Offering - Local Church Missions
