Hey church! We are so excited for Trunk or Treat this Sunday, October 27th! Thank you so much in advance for serving the Lord and our community in such a great way, we are looking forward to what the Lord will do in and through this outreach event.
Some things to be aware of ahead of the event this Sunday: - All volunteers need to be present and ready by 4:20PM. Shortly after that, we are going to have a brief meeting to go over the night, expectations, and pray together over the event. But most of all, we are going to make the emphasis of this event to invite everyone you see back to church the next Sunday. Do not let a single family walk away without hearing you personally invite them to join us for worship next Sunday at 10:45AM. We wish to see many families return to hear the gospel! - Trunkers/Games/Booths, please refer to the map below to find your assigned spot to set up your game or booth. We are going by name/number, look for yours on the wall so you set can up according to those assignments! - Also, do note that the building is available for you to set up your booth or game during normal church office times through Thursday at 5PM (the church office is closed on Fridays, so the building will be unavailable Friday) should you choose to set up earlier than Sunday. - Nicole Sharp and some others will be meeting at the church on Saturday the 26th at 10:00AM. If you wish to use Saturday at that time to set up, contact Nicole Sharp and let her know! - If you plan to set up your booth on Sunday the 27th, please have that ready to go and done by 4:15PM! The building will also be open after service lets out should you want to set your booth up earlier in the afternoon. - If you need a table for your booth, we will try our best to accommodate that need. Please let Pastor Jacob know ASAP. We cannot guarantee everyone will have a table, so please bear that in mind! - Please plan to bring a box, bowl, basket, etc of some kind to house the candy for your booth. Our runners will be sure you are supplied with candy, but bring your own receptacle! - Food/Grill team, this year should be much better than last year in terms of working conditions! We will cook all hot dogs in the kitchen using the flat top/range, and Ryan Folsom is requesting that you be there by 3:00PM to begin set up and cooking! - Registration team, you will be posted in the Welcome Center, and your task is to collect some basic information from each family and provide each attendee a ticket for a hot dog, chips, and drink. Your bright smiling faces will be among the first our guests see! - Security team and greeters, as guests enter the building, be sure to greet them and offer help in directing them where to go. Registration -> gym for games -> where the gym restrooms are -> where to find food (enter fellowship hall via gym). - Runners, please make consistent rounds to our booths and make sure they are well stocked with candy, and help refill their containers as needed! Events like this do not happen without a church full of people who desire to honor the Lord to make it happen. Know you are valued and appreciated! Continue to pray with us, that the Lord would be glorified through this event, and that many would be receptive to coming back to church and worshipping with us, and most of all, that many would hear and respond to the gospel as a result. To Him be the glory! Pastor Jacob French & Nicole Sharp
