About the Cross: Upon arriving at Wilmont, you will see a wooden cross just outside our Welcome Center. It's roughly hewn and bound with tattered rope. We don't pretend that it is an exact replica of the awfulness that Jesus faced nor do we believe its iconic structure imparts any merit or grace. It's a symbolic reminder to our congregation as we enter into this building of the access and focus of worship. Only through the redemptive act of Jesus upon the cross and His victory in the resurrection are we granted access as redemptive sinners into His presence. Further, because His work remains so significant, our focus prioritizes His pleasure in our adoration and worship. Join us as we exalt the Father, through Jesus Christ, aided by the Holy Spirit in worship of the Son ... all by way of the cross.
