Community Ministry Partners
|
We encourage every member to set aside 1 hour each week to serve in the communities around our church to grow God's kingdom and to glorify the Lord. Our church has partnered with three amazing ministries. You can start by serving the ministry itself, which provides a comfortable non-confrontational opportunity for beginners. However, our members find their greatest joy by serving the clients of these ministries in ways that provide opportunities for spiritual and Gospel conversations.
CarePortal: CarePortal is a technology platform that connects vulnerable children and families to people who have something to give. Social workers uncover the needs. CarePortal makes local churches aware, giving them a real-time opportunity to respond. First and foremost, CarePortal exists to help hurting children and families. All requests submitted through CarePortal come from caseworkers at government child welfare agencies or other child-serving organizations approved by CarePortal to vet needs.
Hope Pregnancy Center: As a non-profit organization, Hope Pregnancy Center believes you should receive services from an organization who will not profit from your situation or decision. At Hope you’ll find a safe, confidential and caring environment to explore your choices without judgment. They can help reduce any fear or worry you are experiencing by providing Professional pregnancy testing and ultrasounds, Education on each of your options, Caring staff and volunteers to listen as you process your options and circumstances, Referrals for additional needs and services, and Support programs to walk with you through the decision making process and beyond.
Jordan's Crossing: Jordan’s Crossing is a residential substance abuse program for women with children and/or pregnant or women who are involved in the criminal justice system. Participants learn the skills to maintain sobriety and effectively parent their children outside the structure and support of residential treatment. While in residence at Jordan's Crossing, women have access to a wide range of services, including pharmacological and health clinics; parenting, trauma, critical thinking, nutritional, and other programs; individual, family, group, and art therapy; as well as relapse prevention programs.

Walk the Talk
|
Walk the Talk is Wilmont's 6-week evangelism strategy to equip our members how to kindle gospel-centered conversations in everyday life. Walk the Talk is not an event that only happens at the church. It is a training event that encourages and equips members so that everyday conversations can be turned into gospel conversations.
