In Honor of Charles Duncan

Oklahoma City, OK: Our long-time member and friend, Charles Duncan, passed away this week after a recent terminal diagnosis. Because of the complications of COVID, there will not be any public service or memorial. Instead, his wife, Michelle, asked that we share a personal letter from her to their friends at Wilmont.

Dear Wilmont Family,

As many of you already know, one of your longtime members, Charles Duncan, passed away Tuesday, January 19. Ordinarily, you would be preparing food for the family, sending cards of comfort, and even giving flowers to brighten a funeral service.  But these are not ordinary times.

Charles loved his Wilmont family and felt that you loved him in return.  When COVID hit last year, he started putting a little extra in his offering to help cover for some of the members whose offerings were affected by loss of work or extra medical expenses.

If you are able and want to do so, he would have been so pleased to have his life celebrated by others giving a little extra time or money in his name to the church.

Thank you for all the love and support you've given to him over the years.  You were a huge part of his life.
